"Our first time visiting this establishment with friends. First, there is no really good parking on the street, so we opted to park in the garage at $14/hr. Upon entry, we were greeted immediately. The hostess greeted us with a warm smile and an abundance of energy. The waiting area was fairly small, so we felt slightly claustrophobic waiting for someone to guide us to our table. Our wait was about 10 minutes before we were seated. It was very busy inside the restaurant. About 10 minutes after being seated, our waitress took our drink and appetizers orders. The restaurant was out of deviled eggs, so we decided on vegetables and hummus plates, as well as biscuits and jam for the table. I'm gluten-free, so I didn't partake of either appetizers, but the remainder of the table did and said it was very good. The only complaint was that the krackers on the hummus plate were dry. Our drinks were backed up at the bar for well over 30 minutes. For sake of sparing you an even longer review, I'll report on the two entrees hubby, and I had at dinner. Hubby ordered the chicken and waffles with plain waffles. I ordered the gluten-free spare ribs with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Hubby's chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Seasoned well. But the hot sauce really brought out its flavor. He said the chicken was much better with the hot sauce. Yet, the waffles he said tasted better on their own without the syrup. He said the syrup had an odd taste to it, not robust with a mild sweetness like a maple syrup normally taste. My GF spareribs were mildly seasoned. It was tender, and the potatoes and vegetables complimented it well. However, as a Southern transplant, I didn't feel it captured the flavors I grew up eating or could cook at home. Our waitress was very sweet and kind. She provided a great service, and she was well-versed on the menu, it's options and guidance on selections. I wasn't really impressed with the food. It was edible, but not as flavorful as I'd hoped."
"Finally got a chance to check out this spot for Sunday Brunch. I love the cozy interior and decor of the restaurant and it's very spacious. We ordered the cinnamon rolls to start which were delicious and decadent! I got the chicken and egg sandwich and my friend got the chicken and gravy with egg sandwich. Both sandwiches were quite tasty and a good portion. Price wise..it's a bit expensive..our bill came out to be about $100 bucks with no alcohol (I had tea and my friend had the hot apple cider) 18% gratuity is included so be mindful of that. Good visit overall and service was very attentive."
"The atmosphere is great, and this is a beautiful place. The dishes come out beautifully plated. Unfortunately, I didn't find the shrimp and grits to have a lot of flavor. Server was very nice and knowledgeable. The only reason I gave service a four, instead of a five, is because I ran out of water and had to wait a bit. Not a big deal, just a pet peeve I have."
"We had an amazing time at Yardbird Table & Bar! Our party of 10 was treated like royalty. Our server was attentive and patient (because we have some high maintenance people) and everything was perfect! The Glass Slipper was a fantastic violet martini. Highly recommend! Pro tip: order the corn bread. Don’t ask questions: just do it. It was the very best I’d ever had in my life and proof that there is no such thing as too much butter."
"I visited this restaurant for a friend’s birthday brunch. Atmosphere and Service: The restaurant was beautiful. The interior design was modern and everything was clean and orderly. There were a lot of booths and a nice bar area. Our server, Marvin, was great! Like honestly, really good. He was attentive, helpful, and fast. Food: I enjoyed my meal! I got fried green tomatoes and it was delicious. My friends got chicken and waffles - chicken was awesome, didn’t try waffles. My boyfriend got a breakfast sandwich with egg and chicken and hash-browns. He thought it was okay but was not a fan of the price for such a small amount. I was more bummed about the lack of dairy free options. There are very few alternatives as most items have it (I took a risk with trying the chicken though as my allergy isn’t severe with small doses). The drinks were good though! Overall, I enjoyed my time at the restaurant. I would recommend it for someone who likes brunch, can have milk/cheese/cream, and doesn’t mind spending a bit."
