"Very chill vibes! Food was great and so was the Ethiopian beer. Loved the sambusas. Def a hidden gem in dc"
"This place is amazing. Everyone needs to eat here right now. I ordered beef jerky and spicy lentils, and instructed the man behind the counter to pick his choice of Ethiopian beers. He brought back St. George, which was delicious. The entire time, his demeanor was incredibly friendly and welcoming. My meal did not disappoint. Portion size was generous, and included a side of injera. The food was served hot, and the quality was fantastic. I ordered a second beer. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming, with exposed brick, checkered table cloths, and vibrant colors on the wall. The warmly lit bar area created a friendly and inclusive vibe. Several times, the man checked on me to ensure I was enjoying my meal. I was enjoying myself and let him know it. He insisted I write this review, and the rest is history. Halfway through writing this review, he brought me another beer, and now I’m done writing this review. And that’s how my night has been going so far."
"Authentic, no frills hole in the wall. The shared platter is the way to go if you come here with a group. Absolutely everything was delicious, and everybody was stuffed at the end (we were a party of 3). One of us had never eaten Ethiopian, and I think he's a fan now."
"Delicious small place with authentic food and lovely staff. Can fully recommend the vegetarian mix plate and the sweet tea."
"Local favorite. Awesome execution of familiar Ethiopian favorites, frequented mostly by the neighborhood folk. The place is small and family run, so don't know expect nothing too fancy."
