"Katie and Danny are both amazing! I found Grapevine after searching for places known for short hair cuts in the Canton/Fells Point area. Thank goodness I found them-- after too long with a boring shoulder-length cut, Katie gave me an awesome pixie that was shaped especially well for my features, and between the two of them, they helped me maintain it for about a year. I am now growing it out, and they continue to do amazing things with what can otherwise be a really awkward hair experience. I seriously get comments at least weekly from coworkers or random people about how much they love my hair (again, this is in the middle of a pixie cut grow-out, which is pretty insane), and I am sure that it has nothing to do with my hair per se but with the excellent and versatile cut behind it. I am sold-- no one else is touching my hair for as long as I am in Baltimore. Added bonus is that they are both super fun to talk to during the cut!"

"THIS PLACE IS GREAT FOR HAIR CUT AND COLOR! I decided to give this place a try after reading its reviews on Yelp. I was very skeptical in the beginning as I had terrible experiences at different parlors in Baltimore before. But this place has totally lived up to my requirements and expectations. DECOR: Right at the crossing of Montford and Fleet, this place has a style of its own. You can very well identify the salon from the Grape color exterior, and its a surprise inside. Absolutely clean with beautiful and neat interior. Seems like a newly opened up salon! If not, I must say it is very well maintained. Their hair cutting instruments are sterilized. SERVICE: I interacted with Katie (owner/stylist), Daniel (stylist) and the lady who welcomed me (I don't know her name). All of them are very polite with great hospitality skills. Katie has the patience to hear you and will also give you her recommendations. In my case, she also went ahead and gave me great tips on maintaining the hair style. Unlike other salons, Katie doesn't force you to buy the products available at her salon. She gave me a combination of layered cut with face trims than added an illusionary volume to my fine hair. I liked the lipstick shade she was wearing and she made me wear it. Great client servicing skills! PRICE: Haircut + partial highlights costed me $140 (without tips). My only regret is that I tipped them very less. And, I wish to make up for it the next time I visit them. I suggest Katie for both hair cut and color. You can carry inspiration pictures with you for reference but definitely take her advice. If she is not confident about any style, don't force her to do it for you. Be practical, make up your mind before she begins cutting your hair. She is open to doing touch-ups even until you leave the salon. However, there is no point in unnecessarily irritating her. Her experience speaks and she will suggest you whatever suits you the best! My first impression about this salon has been great! I hope I continue writing good reviews about them.
