"Visited this park for the first time in 12 years. I moved from Columbia and haven’t found parks as nice as this one. Decided to walk the trail while visiting family in Columbia. Parking is convenient and the trail is well paved. It’s about 1.9 miles around the lake. Beautiful lake and trail. I need to visit Centennial park next."
"Nice place for waking or just to be relaxed all the time, just to hearing the forests and don't think in nothing. You have to Miles of waking around the lake your should walk along or with your family or friends included your Dog's to wary wary good. Also if you have you on boat you can fishing or just floating around please no motor boats only rows boat."
"A lakeside park with a lot of nature elements to love. Has a nice little play area for kids(even the elementary goers can have some fun at this play area). You may find a some people fishing, some skating or biking in the walking trail around the lake. They also have a few thoughtful signs and little challenges to motivate you to do some workout. We saw colorful beautiful birds, turtles, deers(one pretty close upfront) and many other delights. The weather wasn’t too harsh which helped us complete the trail with the kids. There are parking spots by the road and also inside the park. There are many homes by the lake. The lake could be cleaner though."
"Lake Elkhorn is a very pretty place to walk. It is adjacent to many neighborhoods and houses, so there are often many people biking and walking. The entire path is paved, so works for strollers, wheelchairs, bikes, etc. It can be hard to walk with kids on busy days especially because of the number of bikers. There is a small playground, but I don't really like how close it is to the street. There are lots of trees, flowers, and wildlife to see as you walk. The parking lots tend to fill up quickly at busy times, and there is no restroom at the park. We walked across the street from the playground to McDonald's."
"The ambience of it all is peaceful and the views of nature are so beautiful! They had a lot off areas to workout in and had a cute park and chess boards. I love that everyone had dogs on their leach and it was a quiet atmosphere. I didn’t see any restrooms which is horrible being that I would love to go back for a whole day and go fishing. Will update when I do, because while walking I asked those who were fishing if they caught anything and everyone said they hadn’t."
