"Secluded, friendly, and very beautiful. Obviously you have to drive out pretty far to escape the reality of the city. This is one of those places. The flowing sound of Abrams creek is an amendity everyone in the campground receives. Along with the chatter of squirrels, and a multitude of birds. The only "Unnatural" sounds we hear at Abrams is a distant Jake brake from a truck making it's way down the mountain. Great cabin space. And plenty of tent space. Showers are exactly what you would expect at a campground, maybe even better than you would expect. Fresh potable spring and city water coming out of several pumps around the campground. When the last few rustic cabins get some kind of electrical, connection they will be hard to reserve as they are deep in the woods and provide that extra bit of seclusion. Awesome sites with a lot of space to stretch out and relax. And, if you absolutely need to get in contact with the outside world, the WiFi at the lodge works great."
