"every single employee in here is rude and has a major attitude problem. at the cafe counter the girl asked doesn’t even asks us anything just rudely tells us she’s out of nearly everything. the security women in the exit yelled at me when i sent to go meet my father at the register. doesn’t ask me what im doing doesn’t do anything just yells at me. then when me and my father was exiting she followed us out. immediately cancelled my member ship will NEVER be coming back"
"With over 15 years work experience at various jobs, I can wholeheartedly say the 6410 Petrie Way Road Sam's Club is easily the least professional company I've ever been a part of. In December 2023 I was hired as Member Assist (cart attendant). Since then I've been treated poorly both by employees and management. Employees: Some of my coworkers frequently disappear, take exceedingly long breaks, play on their phones instead of do their job, and leave me with as much of the workload as possible. For example, if I work mornings the night crew will leave carts all over the place for me to gather up by myself. On the rare occasion I have another cart attendant working my shift, some of them flipflop between hiding and doing just enough to look busy. Management: One of the managers asked me how work was going, and urged me to be honest, only to then use my words against me. Being honest about the other guys' work habits made the situation worse, since (I figured out too late) they're all friends. There's never a greeting , just some complaint, critique of what I'm doing, or an order to bark. Managers have set high standards for my work but move the goalpost for their buddies who do the same exact work that I do."
"I was there to pick up a custom cake order from the bakery for my son's birthday. He chose a design from the book for a graduation, due to a miscommunication while filling out my form, the cake was designed for his birthday that I wanted & graduation theme from the book. They immediately stopped and fixed the issue and within 30 minutes had redecorated my 2 cakes. I truly appreciate their help in making my son's day as special as possible. And thank the bakery department for all they do."
"Overall I believe that Sam’s Club would meet the basic needs I have from a warehouse store. Having been to both Costco and Sam’s I would have to rank Costco above Sam’s in most categories, including product availability, customer service, food court, and overall store environment. Starting with product availability, my impression was that Costco has more. There is a lot of overlap, but I preferred Costco’s selection over Sam’s in terms of food, household goods, and clothing. In terms of customer service Costco wins by a long shot. I have never had any negative experience with Costco employees. My last experience at Sam’s I could not say the same. Nothing horrible, but when compared to Costco, I didn’t feel the same level of kindness and understanding at Sam’s. In terms of store environment I also give Costco the upper hand. I personally do not like loud music blasting through the store. This is what Sam’s was like. They had a speaker up front and they blasted music. Maybe this is unimportant but the loud music just felt tacky and made my experience less enjoyable. Lastly I will speak on the food court. While Sam’s has a more diverse menu with similar prices as Costco, I still have to give Costco the win in this category. Though Sam’s has more options, they are at times out of certain products (mid-day) which I never experience at Costco. Additionally, Sam’s food quality is definitely more traditional cafeteria food. You can taste the difference. The cheap price is reflected in the taste at Sam’s, while the cheap price is not reflected in the quality and taste at Costco. The pizza was reminiscent of Chuck-E-Cheese style pizza and the hotdog was reminiscent of a generic hotdog from any grocer. Personally I would choose a simpler menu with higher quality food from Costco over the more diverse menu but lesser quality found at Sam’s. Additionally, Costco food court is far more efficient than Sam’s. Overall, it isn’t that Sam’s is horrible or that it doesn’t function as advertised, they simply do not match the level found at their primary competitor, Costco. Assuming you are from the area, I would recommend Costco over Sam’s especially since there is a Costco not that much further."
