"They are terrible The lady with half of her hair shaved gives me a hard time every time and all I do is treat up with respect I've done turned her in several times and she continues to try to make my day as miss boy as possible I mean if you don't like your job go get another one and the store My God their prices are through the roof no budgeting there"
"These morons continuously mess things up. They never have monthly refills (after TWO YEARS), and gave my wife viagra instead of her normal med, which could have *seriously* messed her up. If you have another option, take it. I haven't seen a single pharmacist last more than 3 months here because of their extremely high turnover rate fueled by idiotic management. 0/10"
"Critically, borderline negligently understaffed. I had an eye infection and was rapidly losing visor. Optometrist eye drops sent there 5 hours before they closed. I begged them to fill it that day because I would be unable to travel unassisted in the morning. They did not. I only sent it there because it was walkable and I was already feeling unsafe driving. Otherwise I would have avoided them due to so many experiences like this, but they are walkable. Charles Village Safeway: You have several major medical centers around you as well as a massive area of students and high density housing. At no point should the pharmacist be the only one on staff. Maybe if you were open 24/7, but you just rolled store hours back further."
"Update: a new person started working here and everything at the pharmacy has improved. I rarely have to wait and everyone seems way more attentive. Still don’t like the grocery store itself but the pharmacy is actually pretty good now. I really like one of the main pharmacists here but many of the other employees seem apathetic or annoyed the majority of the time. As you stand in line you can see employees actively place people on hold while going back to doing other things so don’t bother trying to call because you will rarely if ever get through. I would rate it lower if it were not for the main pharmacist who is very kind and accommodating."
"I only go here when I need a pharmacy and am too sick to drive since it’s walkable. Almost every order has had an issue. Terrible communication amplifies this and causes me to be unable to fill medication for excess periods of time. If they don’t have something, they never tell me until I find out some of my Rxs are missing. If they told me… I could call another pharmacy and if they have it, transfer and then fill it there. But they don’t. They also say they will get it on X day and then they don’t (and don’t tell you). I have been waiting on a cough syrup so long that I’m better now. They also looked up a medication that is available without a prescription but covered by insurance too. I asked how much it was. $56. Insanity. That’s the no insurance rate apparently. But they didn’t ask if I had insurance and just let the call end on that note. I called Giant and they said it’s $10 with my insurance but Safeway has a hold on it now so I have to call them back and make them release it. How did they give me the self-pay rate while utilizing my insurance, I don’t know, but this was also a life saving medication like an epi-pen. I asked them to please just fill it with my insurance but I need it asap. Nope. Expediting a lifesaving drug of that nature (after they caused massive delays) one time would be unfair, I guess. I drive to the 24hr Giant in Catonsville who always call me if there are any issues and often can have my meds filled by the time I get there if I leave straight from the Dr. Office. They help me come up with workarounds if there are supply issues, remember me, and generally seem to care. It’s an extra 40-50 min total but you will waste more time in the end going to this Safeway."
