"Went with a friend for winter restaurant week. I had the shrimp tempura, the pork dumplings and the wagyu beef. The beef had a chalky texture. The tempura was salty. The drinks were good. I had a margarita and the sake pairing. Overall mediocre meal. I should have tried the sushi. May return if I’m in the neighborhood."
"We had New Year Eve omakase experience here and it was so wonderful! The food was great and the service was very attentive. We also felt very privileged that the executive chef Derek personally prepared all the dishes right in front of us and shared with us knowledge about dishes and ingredients, etc. Overall highly recommend it!"
"Jenna is an excellent server. She gives fast, friendly, knowledgeable service. The dessert of soft serve was great. The pork belly was sort of strange. I didn’t love it. The sushi was the usual US style sushi. Nothing specials The space is large. And I wish they would go away from Japanese food and make it more international food. I heard the cooks speaking Spanish… maybe make the menu reflect more of all of America?"
"Highly recommend this place for a nice bougee brunch while in DC. The place was calm and had a great ambiance with a great ambiance. They have bar seating and table seating. Their sake bomb drink is a nice shareable drink that you can enjoy with friends, and it comes with a great presentation. Food items that I highly recommend are the chicken dumplings, pork bao buns, chicken katffle (katsu chicken and waffles) and their yuzu creme brulee. We loved the dishes so much, we had seconds. Their menu is styled to be shareables for the table so it allows you to try multiple dishes which all lived up to the standard."
"Very delicious! Fish is top notch. I actually had a hair in my sushi roll but they immediately replaced it and apologized. Stuff happens but it's all about how the restaurant handles it! Management staff was on top of everything. Loved everything we ate. Will definitely return."
