Hilltop Castle

"This review is a long time coming. I stayed at Hilltop for my 40th bday in December with about 30 of my closest friends and family. We had a BLAST!!!!! It is the perfect place for a large group gathering. It's so big that you never feel on top of each other. Everyone COULD gather in one spot, or we could break off into little groups. The team at the castle was great to work with and super nice. I highly recommend!"

"Indescribable. We had an awesome time. So much to do - it was rainy while we were there but never ran out of activities. Loved the basketball court/dance set up. The treasure hunt and the secret rooms were such a trip. Easy for a large group. Karen and Matt were very helpful in the process and responsive during our stay. Highly recommend! We brought our own little karaoke machine, which made for the perfect setup in the theatre room."

"Very unique charming property. If you want to “wow” your guests this is the perfect place. Me and my sister celebrated our 51st birthday with family and friends ages 5-70 around Thanksgiving weekend. Even though we couldn’t take advantage of the pool area due to the time of the year, there are plenty of things to do in and around the property. Everything is well built and clean. Perfect place for small events. The owners are responsive and helpful."

"I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I felt like I had to speak up. My family recently held a reunion, and we all agreed the Hilltop Castle sounded like a great place to gather. We couldn't be more thrilled. It was big enough to hold our entire extended family - actually kind of like having a small hotel all to ourselves. While there are a lot of different options on places to gather, the large eat-in kitchen turned into family-central for much of the weekend, at least in the mornings and nights. During the day, we spent the warm September weekend gathered outside on the pool decks. We paid a little extra to have the owners heat the pools, which was SO worth it. We also enjoyed exploring the hiking trails on the grounds. One of the most fun things about the weekend was playing the castle's interactive mystery game -- think an escape room but with a castle theme. The owner told us it was a brand new version of the game, We used clues to discover a multitude of secret rooms and secret passages, many we had walked right by all weekend without knowing they were there. The kids in our group really loved it, but when it comes to finding secret passages, we all kind of felt like kids. Extra bonus - the castle is located in a really pretty part of the Poconos, so the drive to and from was beautiful. I've stayed at a lot of rentals, but this one was really top-of-the-line and well worth every penny we spent."

"We just finished a stay at the Hilltop Castle for our annual family reunion. We’ve stayed at many places over the years, but this by far was the best! The beds were so comfortable, and everyone enjoyed having their own bathroom. The space is enormous, and fit our group of 44 comfortably. We did not pay to heat the pools, but thought the temperature was perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we cooked all meals with ease for our large group. The best part of this property is the uniqueness and details that make it magical. The treasure hunt with the secret rooms and passageways was amazing. We brought glow sticks and had a kid dance party in the basketball court, had family movie nights in the movie theatre, and took many hikes on the enchanted forest hiking trails. We also booked the game master (Thaddeus) for a family game show night and he was fantastic! Everyone had so much fun. Matt was very responsive every time we had a question, and walked us through the property when we arrived. We will very likely be back!"
