"Went to express my concerns and they did not do a through check, (didn’t lift it up or anything just diagnosed based off my concerns) automatically said it was my breaks and rotors and it would be $400 to fix, but went to another mechanic and they checked everything and said it had nothing to do with my breaks and rotors. I feel like I was taken advantage because I am a female. Very disappointed! I had high hopes for this establishment."
"Really great place, they do good work and have fair pricing as compared to other places. I had a catalytic converter that needed to be put in order to get my emission test to pass. I dropped it off and within a few hours it was done and the car has more pep in its step now! Thank you team at Mount Vernon Auto Clinic!"
"Have been coming here for a long time. Have gotten a lot of work done including, most recently, the suspension and brakes. They have provided excellent and competent service along with a timely delivery of the finished product. Would recommend to anyone wanting a friendly, complete and reasonably priced experience."
"This place is horrible. I took my car here for the inspection on 9/1/2018. They told me something had to be fixed and said I had to get it fixed there. I told them I would get it fixed and return. He placed the rejection sticker and said I had two weeks to get it fixed. I paid and told them I would get it fixed and will return before the two weeks. The guy said something to the other guy in his language. I left and got my car fixed and returned on 9/4/2018 in the morning. The mechanics said they could not assist me and had to wait for owner to approve repair. This made no sense. They work there and are supposedly "certified mechanics". I asked when owner would return. He said at 1pm. I came back at 1pm and was told I had to wait again because owner was busy. I again asked why they couldn't inspect the car to make sure I fixed the issue. The mechanic again said he couldn't do it and had to wait for owner to approve. I had to get back to work after wasting much time at this place. I drove to another inspection site which checked my car and said everything was working perfectly. I paid them and got my sticker. It is ridiculous that I had to pay twice. I am sure they were upset that I didn't get my car fixed with them. I will not be returning and do not recommend. This place is HORRIBLE. They are RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, LIARS and THIEVES!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!"
"Took my car there for a repair on my window. They diagnosed the problem without even removing the door panel. When I asked how they knew the problem without even looking, they replied 'from experience." They ordered the regulator they said they needed only to find out their diagnosis was incorrect. They then sent the part back and left me riding around with my door panel off for two weeks (because they said if they put it back on they'd charge me another $90 to remove it again). This whole time, they've taken my money/payment and had no sense of urgency. Another part came in which again was the wrong part and the determined it was the glass they needed. Another week riding around without a functioning window and missing door panel. The glass came and it was the wrong size, so finally they ordered from the dealership and got the correct pieces. Once the part was installed, the technician looked confused and began digging through my car. When I asked what he was doing INSIDE my car I was told he was looking for a part to put the door panel back on that he claimed to have left inside the car. I gave him the small CVS bag he had been taking in and out of my car for weeks with the pieces in it (and one time he tried to keep it making sure I couldn't take my car elsewhere) and he said it wasn't in that bag, it was too large to fit in the bag. He never found the piece, and he put the panel back on the door mangled. I showed the owner the poor work and he assured me it would be taken care of. In addition to the poor assembly of my door, he also broke my door handle which I was also told would be ordered and replaced. A month went by, no word from the shop and when I contacted them to inquire, the owner was very rude and hostile as if waiting 2 months for a window repair was acceptable. He hung up on me and his son then began communicating with me, apologizing for his father's behavior and apologizing because he was the one that 'forgot' to order the parts. He assured me he'd take care of it. That was a month ago and again, I haven't heard from anyone despite my repeated attempts to reach them. My window remains broken, the door panel jarred, my door handle broken, and my money gone. I plan to take them to court for damages. This shop may save you a couple dollars, but you get what you pay for! Be careful."
