The Inn at Canaan 6526 Appalachian Highway, Davis, WV 26260

"The good, rooms are clean and actually quite nice and roomy. The bad/ok part, the location is speck in the middle of three ski resorts ( incl. white grass) but otherwise quite isolated. The ugly, rooms are quite noisy (second floor) because of a persistent humming sound (transformer?). We mentioned that to the front desk and received imho a brush off (will let maintenance know….). We finally did not stay the night and left early…"

"Perfect stay for a ski weekend! I was a bit nervous as this was my 1st time venturing out from the big hotel names and I can be a bit picky on rooms. There’s no big hotel options near the ski slopes so decided to try out the Inn at Canaan Valley. Great location and all the rooms in the main building have been updated and feel very clean (the other building is suites so not sure about those). I would say it’s comparable to a Fairfield Inn feel. Nice small little breakfast and appreciate their little touches like leaving the cereal out after hours (that my kids enjoyed in the evening) and the chili they brought out one night my husband enjoyed. All the staff at the desk were very sweet and friendly! The only small annoyance was being on the 2nd floor there’s only steps so carrying in luggage wasn’t too fun when we arrived late at night but not terrible either."

"The employees did an awesome job decorating their lobby & outdoors for fall!! It smells super clean & good in the whole place. Super clean rooms. My husband and I were very impressed!"

"Very clean and pleasant hotel. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Without hesitation I would stay here again. Very convenient to visiting the Blackwater Falls State Park. 7 miles from center of town of Davis. When we arrived around dinnertime we were delighted to be offered some warm soup from the crockpot. Such a nice touch! To avoid direct hit at the bed by the A/C turn the vents toward the floor and put a chair between the A/C and the bed. Shower was great - nice looking tile gave a luxury look; shower was clean, good water pressure, good draining."

"Perfect place to stay with my family. We have stayed here twice now, and we just love it. The place is very neat and clean with lots of little extras to make you feel at home. Refreshments on arrival, great breakfast and coffee, fire pits, and mini golf. The best part is the friendly staff who are very helpful. HJ is a hoot! Wonderful inn in Canaan Valley where we will definitely stay again. Bonus for being pet friendly!"
