"I ordered some plans from Jamaica Cottage Shop. They were pretty easy to follow, but I've been building things most my life and look at the plans as a guide rather than detailed instructions. I appreciate the detailed cut and materials list, it makes prepping for the build a lot easier. I did have a small issue about the delivery of the plans and sent an email. I was answered back promptly and professionally with a clear explanation. The only reason I have given a 4 star instead of a 5 is that the plans are not available for download. They were promptly mailed out and I received them quickly, but my shop is setup to use a computer screen for plans and not paper, so I had to scan the document myself. Not a big deal, I'm sure that they feel that by making them not downloadable they are preventing piracy. But as it only took me about 5 minutes to scan the plans, I doubt if anyone intent on sharing the plans can't make it happen. Not offering this option is mostly impacting honest people who have kept up with technology. I must stress that this will not prevent me from ordering again. This is just my opinion."
