"Millstone Hill is a hidden gem for weddings. It is gorgeous without pretension, which created a lovely genuine atmosphere to celebrate our wedding. We rented the whole property for the weekend at a very reasonable price: we had family sleeping in lodging available and friends camping in the small but charming campground. We had the rehearsal dinner up near the lodge, the ceremony outside under the shade of apple trees with mountain views in the background, cocktail hour in the gardens around the barn, dinner and dancing in the celebration barn, and ended everything with a big bonfire. It's a venue that might not be for everyone, but it was everything we wanted and more. If you want a big, clean, cookie cutter wedding with everything already planned for you, this might not be the venue for you. Millstone Hill has a homemade and hardworking vibe to it. You’ll have to hire all of the vendors yourself, but this means that you have the flexibility to plan a unique wedding. Frankie and Pierre were consistently helpful, communicative, and flexible during the whole process. It’s clear that they take great pride in taking care of and sharing their childhood home."
"Interesting and scenic location. Super relaxed lodging and owners are the nicest people. I love the continental breakfast with fresh fruit and arguably the worlds best homemade muffins. Yum! I make it a point to stay here when traveling in the area, and a good central hub for Vermont visitors."
"Dead flies, smelly musty bedding, we were told to be quiet at 430pm due to another room sleeping, no privacy, no TV, games or any entertainment, we were not welcomed warmly, shown around or explained anything. This is only good if you're renting the entire lodge or are only coming to sleep, read, write, & don't mind having no TV & sharing bathrooms with strangers."
"This was a beautiful bed & breakfast! Very well kept. The views were stunning. We woke up to a gorgeous sunrise. The breakfast provided was delicious! We stayed in the Barclay room and it was spacious with a separate bathroom located on the top floor of the house which made it feel secluded. Frankie and Pierre were wonderful hosts"
"When you arrive and see the view of Mt Mansfield and the Green mountains in the distance, it takes your breath away! The lodge itself is a wonderful converted barn with soaring ceilings, beautiful beams, flooded with light from the immense windows all around. The common area living and dining room are cozy and inviting with seating all over for quests to gather. Vintage prints are everywhere and add to the charm. I stayed in the Jennifer Crawford room which literally has one wall with a huge window. I asked for a room with a view, and that I certainly got. The room had comfortable brass bed and a lovely full bathroom which also had view. The homemade cranberry muffins at breakfast were the best. There is also a full kitchen if you want to prepare a things for yourself. Pierre, the owner was helpful and we had a nice conversation about the history of the place. I absolutely love Millstone Lodge and plan to return with family."
