"Extremely helpful with a last minute booking! Room a bit out dated. But perfect place to just lay your head for a ski trip."
"This motel is a perfect choice if you are looking for an inexpensive choice for lodging that is very convenient to Mt. Snow. The place is old, and in need of some major upgrades, starting with the very soft beds, the old linens, and the carpet that should have been replaced 40 years ago. While the owner of the establishment is lovely, when I stay at a hotel I expect that it is at least comparable to my home. The game room is moldy, and the pool isn’t particularly warm. I might stay here again, but chances are I’ll spring for a place that costs a little bit more, to have some nicer amenities (like a bathroom that isn’t filthy). You get what you pay for."
"I recently stayed here for a night while visiting Mount Snow for a ski trip. This was a pretty good stay overall, but there are definitely some caveats that should be considered prior to booking a room here. It's definitely not bottom-of-the-barrel, but there are some cut corners that are worth considering. Before I get into the main pros and cons, I will say that the staff is quite friendly, which we were appreciative of! We were greeted very nicely by a gentleman at the front desk when we arrived, who checked us in quickly and explained where everything was and what was available. It's always a plus when the service is nice. Pros: • Very close to Mount Snow (less than 10 mins) • Close to popular restaurants/bars • Room was well-heated and smelled clean • Heated pool and sauna • Continental breakfast Cons: • No wifi in the rooms (just in/near the lounge area), and 4G signal was weak as well • Old, small TV (perhaps something families with kids should consider) • Some light mildew stains in the bathtub/on the shower head • Overall feel of the room is rather outdated/old • Hangers in the closet were extremely flimsy wire ones, so it was hard to hang heavy jackets there • Beds were just okay • Concierge is not 24 hours (to be expected in a family-owned establishment, but something to consider – they are reachable via phone when they are off duty though in case of emergency) • Rooms were not exactly soundproof; some normal volume conversations could be overheard next door pretty easily, so I'd assume any loud neighbors could pose an issue • Price a little steep I think the biggest con here was the price to be honest. I got a room for 2, and the price was $185. Granted, we did book via a third-party site a few days before on a weekend, which probably had an effect on the room rate, but I personally think it's a little too steep all things considered. I know family-owned businesses are harder to maintain without the support of a corporation, and I'm sure the pandemic probably hit places like this hard too, but somewhere around $150 and below would've made this stay feel more worth the price tag. Perhaps making breakfast optional for folks could be something to help bring it down. That said though, I think the biggest advantage of this place was the breakfast since it was burned into the price anyway. No prepared food (i.e. eggs, bacon, etc.), but the spread was still pretty solid! Bagels, cinnamon rolls, donuts, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, etc., which is helpful considering the fact that (I assume) most guests at this hotel are skiers/snowboarders who need to fuel up before a day on the slopes. I'd recommend heading to breakfast as soon as possible in the morning as well — while the spread was nice, it felt like it could go fast within the first hour, especially on a busy weekend. The dining area was also very cozy and quaint. One important thing to note about this place is that their system for providing toiletries is a bit odd. I thought they did not have shampoo and conditioner because there was none anywhere in the bathroom, just individual bars of body soap, but I later realized that they keep it by the front desk. So, if you need that, be sure to grab it upon check-in or before you head to your room. I think it's something they should consider noting on the room information placard in the rooms as I found that to be an odd thing they failed to mention. Overall, I'd recommend this place for anyone who isn't too picky and is willing to sacrifice a little comfort and otherwise standard amenities. If you're a skier or snowboarder who's looking for a no-frills stay close to the slopes but with an easy next-day breakfast and option to recover in the sauna/pool, then this is definitely the perfect place for you."
"We spend one night. We were welcomed with a smile. Rooms are clean and convenient. Our kids were enjoying the swimming pool area while I had a nice session in the sauna. It is a family owned hotel. Owners were very nice and accommodating. We’re definitely coming back."
"What a wonderful place to stay! This is a family-owned business with not only amazing quality accommodations but so much kindness and warmth. The Indian food is amazing, and they are also accommodating to any dietary needs (vegan, veg, gluten-free--whatever you need). We had a great time enjoying the beautiful surroundings and loved this as a warm and welcoming place to come back to each night."
