"I was so fortunate to find the Chipman Inn when I was here for a conference on Labor Day Weekend at Bread Loaf. The hosts are so welcoming and I enjoyed my coffee and breakfast every morning. I felt well taken care of and my room was so comfortable and beautiful - I stayed in the Robert Frost room. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in the area. "I’m a little afraid to post a glowing review, not because anything was less than perfect, quite the opposite, but because as soon as people find this gem I’ll never get a reservation again! This is a casual home-like base for our adventures in the Middlebury area—like staying with family without all the negativity and stress of family. ;) Everything is clean, soft, and low-stress, and the food is excellent, provided by a Ukrainian refugee that is residing with the family that owns the inn. Love all around! We WILL be back."

"The owners are incredibly generous! My family was forced off the road due to flash flooding and had to make an impromptu stop at the inn around midnight. Despite the time and weather, though Elizabeth the owner remained chipper and made every accommodation for our family of four. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity during that challenging night. On top of that, the inn is beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be making a planned stay at the inn!"
