"We enjoyed two nights in the king suite; unfortunately, we were there during a snowstorm and on days when the cafe and restaurant were not open, so we didn’t get to explore the other amenities of the property as much as we would have liked. The property isn’t hard to find but is quiet and feels quite rustic. The suite was spacious, beautifully decorated and very tidy, with lots of cozy touches and conveniences that would make a longer stay very comfortable. The owners were very responsive before and during our stay. It is clear that they have put lots of energy and heart into the property and it was a pleasure getting to stay here and explore the Craftsbury corner of the Northeast Kingdom!"
"My husband and I stayed here last night ! We were on our way back to New York and were so happy with our stay! It is so quaint and we wish we got there before the restaurant on their premise closed! We really wanted to try the craft cocktails and food! We stayed in the "glamping" tent (which is dog friendly!) It was a little cold which is not their fault it was the temperature outside. I wanted to keep the heater on all night but my husband was being weird about the propane heater creating condensation and making everything cold and wet. So his recommendation is to invest in a diesel heater which creates a dry heat and no fumes. But it was a very comfortable bed! Loved the canvas tent! I want to come back again when it's warmer. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and welcoming! Awesome latte in the morning and acai bowl! We love organic ingridients and they had a lot of organic local farm fresh ingredients as well as local small business items in their gift shop! We will definitely be back again in the spring ! Awesome property and location! Keep up the fantastic work!"
"We booked a 3 night stay in the king Suite. Upon arrival late Monday afternoon we discovered that we had ZERO CELL SERVICE. Our provider is Verizon. Because we had a strong need for telephone service we would need to leave after only 2 nights. I went to the office to report this however it was locked. I went to the office again on Tuesday morning around 9:00 but office was locked. I went around the house to find people in the kitchen and informed them through the window that we would need to leave a day early. I requested a one day credit but was told a different sister handled the business . On Wednesday morning we loaded up to leave and I went to check out but the office was locked. I found people in the cafe kitchen and asked for a credit. I was told that we should have seen information on their website as well as the check-in email regarding cell service. We have looked again at the website and cannot find reference to cell service. We received the check-in email on Sunday which said in bold letters “Limited cell service”. “Limited” is not “no cell service” but perhaps carriers other than Verizon have service. As the check-in email came the day before our check-in so that even if we did know it was less than 24 hours so no cancellation by their policy. Our observations from our 2 days there: - No Verizon cell service - No coat hangers nor place to hang clothes. - No place to rest suitcases other than the floor so a lot of bending. - When cafe opens at 7:00am it gets noisy. - The room gets cooking odors from the cafe on Tuesday night to go cooking."
"very idyllic, rustic, and charming. Jessie, one of the owners was very welcoming and accommodating. The area is one of the most beautiful I have been to in the US. The food at the bistro was excellent. One night, I got a sandwich which came with fries. I asked for sweet potato fries but they gave me regular fries. Instead of taking the regular fries away, they gave me sweet potato fries in addition to the regular fries. Wow! The compostable cups that they use at the coffee shop are a nice idea, but the coffee leaks through the cup if you leave it for too long. Sometimes, being environmentally friendly comes with the cost of convenience, but I'm happy to make that sacrifice. The room was spacious and the bathroom was super nice. Amazing experience"
