"This review is for the wedding venue in the barn. It's an absolutely lovely spot with quintessential New England vibes. There's a large hall for indoor ceremonies, dancing, and dining. In the back part of the barn is the bar and reception area. The grounds were gorgeous, even in mid November. Ashley, who runs the weddings, was absolutely lovely. There's rambling grounds outside with spots for outdoor ceremonies and for lovely pictures."

"We had a wonderful three-day holiday weekend wedding with three events and rented the inn as well. The feedback that we received from our guests was comprehensive and absolutely tremendous! We feel like they knocked it out of the park on every tier. One of our favorite comments was that the venue is very classy yet warm and inviting. Lisa, the owner, was an absolute joy to work with and took a very active role throughout the weekend. Ashley, Mary Catherine, and Jocelyn were so much fun behind the bar that it was like they were guests…very, very professional guests! :) Julie Martin Olson was our wedding planner/sensei/spirit guide the months leading up to the wedding, and it was like she had superpowers during the events. Her intuition was uncanny; we would feverishly think of something that we needed just to turn around and find Julie holding it with a big smile on her face. "My husband and I held our wedding ceremony and reception at The Old Lantern in October 2022. We booked in September 2021 and worked with their staff to create our dream wedding day for 13 months. We were so pleased with the level of support The Old Lantern staff offered. This was our first time planning a wedding but was far from their first and it showed. They truly thought of everything and guided us every step of the way from what vendors to secure ASAP to working hard to understand our vision. The venue is stunning and we loved how much was included when booking (tables, chairs, linens, catering, decor, the ability to do an on-site ceremony). We also really loved how flexible they were with bar options - we indicated our budget and we were easily able to work within that to get the most bang for our buck. We had a lot of wedding guests so needed to do a buffet dinner which wasn't what we originally planned for but it was wonderful. It was a plated buffet so they had staff serving. They had a plated dinner for my husband and I so that we were able to quickly eat and make our rounds. The food is INCREDIBLE. We held our ceremony on-site and were so happy to have had the perfect weather for our big day to be able to host it outside but also really liked their back-up rain plan (a must in Vermont). We were the first outdoor Catholic ceremony hosted at The Old Lantern, having worked with Rev. Msgr. John McDermott. 10/10 experience working with The Old Lantern - Lisa, Ronald, & Julie are rockstars! We are so pleased with our venue choice and will remember our special day fondly for all the days and years to come."
