Penacook Place

"Horrible! These people took my money for a deposit to be "held upon approval of application" it wasn't "held" first of all, it came directly out of my credit karma account at $285, $250 for the "deposit on hold" and another $35 for application fee yet the site they post the apartments on 3rd party also charge to send applications out so why 2 charges? If you fill out one and they get it there shouldn't be another.. but anyway, the deposit should of been refunded and at this time I get "we can't refund your deposit due to suspicion of fraud" "it never got taken" I sent proof of it being withdrawn and STILL nothing! You don't get a "fraud" notification when trying to REFUND money! Such a SCAM! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY!!!"

"I am currently living here , it’s been more than a year I came here from another state during the tough times of COVID . The process was very smooth everything completed through online only , so nice management, manager Aubrey is very kind woman, Whenever there is a issues she addresses immediately (whatever issues they resolve it) . Neighbors are so cool and helpful! I really love to be here! Snow removal is excellent here! They ll send lots of emails regarding snow removal! Everything is 5 star here! Parking no problem!! You ll have lots of space to park your car! I have never come across any bugs problem too! I personally highly recommend this place !"

"Ashley is by far the rudest person to deal with. I did not get accepted to their apartments, which is fine. But getting my deposit back was a hassle. She mis read the paper, and just brushed me off the phone. Then I has to call her back and explain her mistake and she did not apologize. Still did not get the $250 as of now. Update: after calling the main office and being coached by the Office Manager there on what to say, my money was then returned. If I could give 0 stars I would. I got an email this morning regarding this review and the Manager of the leasing company still does not comprehend how rude her employee was. I had a refundable deposit and they could not return it because my bank had a glitch and could not receive it. Then when I wanted it back, I was brushed off and told, “we’re working on it or whatnot.” What kind of response is “whatnot”? Never got an apology, just a “this never happened before.” The issue was, phone and email etiquette with someone they now know is not going to be a resident."

"I lived here for about 14 months and I thought the premise and the apartment were both very accommodating. Aubrey, the property manager was very kind and helped me with a few issues I had throughout my stay. I'm very appreciative to that. They didn't nickel and dime me when I moved out, they instructed me to leave nail holes and the drywall anchors and they would take care of it. I received my entire security deposit back minus some utilities I owed. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because plowing in the winter is a nightmare, and laundry is kinda expensive. Overall a solid place to live, I would have stayed here indefinitely until I bought a house if I was still in a relationship."

"When my family and I moved to Penacook Place in April we were so happy to find a great apartment. Before we moved in, PP installed brand new black appliances and new wood plank flooring. The place is beautiful. I'm so tired of reading complaints about Penacook Place and needed to tell you about how great it is. The staff is very nice and always helps when we have a problem, which is not that often. I love that there is laundry in the building and I don't have to lug my dirty clothes to the laundromat (and it's about the same price as laundromat). The pool is beautiful and gets sun all day (great for tanning). They keep it clean and even got new patio furniture this summer. My kids just love it. The people in my building are very nice and friendly. It is very quiet in my building which is lovely for my husband who works from home. The property is well maintained. The parking lot is being sealed next week and they gave the residence plenty of notice of when to move their vehicles. The large courtyard had plenty of space for my kids to play, fly drones, and play ball. The maintenance staff is very quick to fix any problems and it's great that I can call the office in the middle of the night if there is an emergency. I am so happy that I moved here and plan on staying for many years. Don't pass up an opportunity to live in this great community. Penacook is a great town to live in."
