Just a ten minute drive from Groton State Forest and a 30 minute drive to Montpelier, you can easily hike all morning and enjoy a great lunch in the city by early afternoon. "Had a wonderful stay at Fruitlands. We stayed in the Alcott Room which was big, clean, and comfortable. Dale and Janet are wonderful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed Janet's breakfasts (she easily accommodated my dietary needs) and the conversations we had over those breakfasts. If you're looking for peace and solitude in the beauty that is Vermont, Fruitlands Bed and Breakfast is a great choice."

"I travel a lot and I have to say that this is just a fantastic experience. I ended up booking Fruitlands the night before but the hosts were very accommodating. The property itself is so cute because there is blueberry and raspberry fields and a sassy cat in the main house. They were really sweet and upgraded us to the Acorn Room which was stunning. It is a 2nd Floor suite with a separate entrance and balcony. The room has a kitchenette, fire and tv facilities. The bathroom is massive as well. We were driving out pretty early and they were sweet and packed us a breakfast for the ride. Please make it a point to visit. I have never met such considerate and welcoming hosts!"
