"Stayed here for a wedding. Our room was disgusting- mold on bathroom ceiling, smelled nasty. Getting ready for bed we realized there were bed bugs. Called the front desk and guy said we would be compensated for that night and we were moved to a much nicer unit at 1am. Had to leave several blankets and pillows as they were exposed to the infested bed. Next morning we woke up to a dead bird outside of the slider. Asked Debra at the front desk to have the bird removed and about the reimbursement and she proceeded to have a major attitude about the entire thing. Spoke to the GM the following day who was very nice and agreed to reimburse the first night. Love Waterville but would not stay here again."
"If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Gross place and rude staff. stayed there in 2022. Rooms were very dirty. Daughter found a dirty sock in her bed plus boogers in sheets, an old hat left out, beads everywhere, and a big hair clump and the sheets did not seem washed. A friend had mice in their room and were given mouse traps that didn’t work."
"I really loved this trip up to Waterville. My sisters & I stayed a weekend & had a wonderful time. The staff went above & beyond for us. We went on the river the staff blew up our tubs for this. They also made a few exceptions allowing us to stay in the hot tub a wee bit longer. Just very nice!"
"Friendly staff, clean rooms, basic amenities. The lodge itself is nice- big fireplace, standard ski lodge. The rooms are privately owned - we had room 503 and other than maintenance it hadn’t been updated since the place was built in the 60’s. It had minimal overhead lighting so it was quite dark, and random blue sky wallpaper on part of a wall. There was no separation between “bedrooms” (and zero light in one of them.) Amenities are on the Motel 6 level which is disappointing for a room that was >$250/night. The queen mattress was a boat. If you need a big space, have a bunch of kids and aren’t spending much time in the room, it’s fine. And the other rooms may be much nicer than the one we stayed in!"
"We rented a unit long term for ski season. Stayed for 3 months. Staff was outstanding and incredibly friendly. Room was squeaky clean when we checked in. I will admit, hockey weekends are absolutely brutal and I truly feel bad for the staff. Wrangling 100+ kids and ignorantly drunk parents every weekend has got to be tough. Overall aside from the hockey weekends, it was an amazing experience. Very warm and cozy atmosphere in the building. We will be back next season, and hopefully many more."
