Reviews
"First, I have to say the campground is great and I am sad to have to give it a bad review. Here is my experience. The office staff messed up the dates for a reservation I made for 2 sites. I was disappointed but mistakes happen. They charged my card and have been unresponsive to my requests for a refund. I called twice, emailed twice, texted, and even drove 7 hours for an in-person visit to request they do the right thing and reimburse me for the $. I was assured at the in-person visit they would "make it right"... but they kept my money. What a terrible way to treat your customers. I won't be back."
"Loud and crowded. Near a loud road, and we could hear concerts and parties from nearby restaurants and resorts. Screeching metal noises in the morning. The sites are too close together. It's a parking lot with RV hookups. The bathrooms and country store were clean, and bland in a mass marketed corporate way that is very out of touch with the spirit of Vermont. The bathroom stalls are so tiny that if you are over 5'6 your knees hit the door while you are peeing. The shower, there is only one per restroom, are public swimming pool level, no dressing area. If you love Target, the suburbs, and Starbucks and want to camp without all that icky wilderness, this is the camp for you."
"They messed up our reservation, even after we confirmed two days before. We arrived late (which we told them would be the case) and there was no way to get in contact with anyone who worked there. Thankfully a very kind woman who has been staying there for decades was able to help us. Without her, we would have been in big trouble so we are thankful she saved the day. The campground was fairly clean and basic, we didn't use the showers/bathroom so I can't speak to that."
"From the young ladies in the office, the well maintained rest rooms, activities and surrounding nature this was one of my favorite campsites I've been to. A combination of my family, friends and I have gone camping every summer since I was 5. This campground is tip notch, highly recommended!! There are also several places you a enjoy the water, it was a fast moving current while we were there but we walked in the shallow areas. Very refreshing."
"Great trip with friends. The staff, Ashley in particular, were incredibly helpful and did everything they could to help us enjoy our time. The river was beautiful and the sites were clean and well maintained. If you can get a spot by the river scoop it up!"
