"A few days ago I visited PC in Colchester, VT. I got groceries and a 4-pack of beer. I am 67 and look my age. The cashier asked me for an ID (she has a right to ask) so I handed her my driver's license. Without a word, she scanned the license into a database. I was fine with the visual check but I am not fine with PC storing/selling my personal data without asking and without justification. I wrote PC and have not heard back. My chief complaint: this data-mining, and the lack of regard for customers it reveals, undermines the good will earned by their generally helpful staff."
