"The shoe selection is excellent for the type of shoes that work for my lifestyle. The service from the lady at the end of the day... to be desired. I walked in 18 minutes before they closed and she told me immediately they closed at 6 and she had to leave immediately and what could she get for me now. I literally was in the store for 6 min and left w a pair of shoes 12 min before they closed, primarily because I left w them to walk around at home to try them on!"

"Had a lovely experience buying shoes for school that would also fit my orthotics. I wasn’t a huge fan of the shoes due to the strict dress code requirements but fortunately Deborah was there to help me cope. She was fantastic, very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. "Ann helped me get the boots I needed and we had a nice time chatting while doing so. I didn’t know there were insoles for metatarsalgia! My husband went there a couple weeks later and ended up with shoes that are helping him stand more at his desk without discomfort. The manager remembered me then looked up my Darn Tough size based on my previous footwear purchase for my husband without having been asked. Sure, it was an easy sale because he overheard our confused phone call. But it was also really helpful because I’m a guy who has womanly sized feet! Danform has earned 2 new loyal customers."

"Exceedingly bad customer service. First, the staff was very reluctant to let me try on alternate sizes once I had a pair that fit reasonably well. I had to ask multiple times to try on a narrow width of the same brand before they finally admitted they didn’t really have very many in stock. They also were reluctant to allow me to try a size up; I felt almost embarrassed I’d asked, which isn’t how I should be made to feel. Anyway, when I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted, I asked whether there were any other pairs of the same color/size, as the one I’d been trying on was the floor model, and I could tell it was more worn. Again, the staff was very reluctant to bring out another pair. They finally brought one, but it had scratches, which they said was just the way the leather was and that I could buff it out (on new shoes worth $145?? Uh no). The really peculiar thing was that the staff was really hovering too, not giving me any space to really think and make a decision. They also didn’t want me to have multiple pairs of shoes around at once. Which is hard when you’re trying to compare! The big kicker at the end: a staff member came to me and said something like, “I’m going to have to ask you to remove the shoes soon.” What?? (I’ve spent the rest of the day puzzling over what that was all about.) I decided then and there that Danform didn’t deserve my money. I gave her the shoes and walked. If a store will not respect my decision making process, I will not be a patron there."
