"After eight years coming to Middlebury, I know this is the best place to stay. Comfortable. Convenient. Clean. Great breakfasts. And the folks who run On the Creek are friendly, knowledgeable and great to spend time with."
"We had a wonderful time at On The Creek! The room was clean, spacious and a perfect location for exploring Middlebury and Vermont. We had some great conversations with Zelia and Gary, as well as the other guests. Breakfast was great and very filling. We hope to go back again sometime soon!"
"Beautiful spot a short walk from both town and campus! Delicious scones, granola, fruit salad, and omelet for breakfast, the perfect blend of company and privacy, and the perfect screened in porch to relax on. We slept so well! Zelia and Gary were perfect hosts."
"This is one of my all time favorite B&Bs! Located very close to downtown Middlebury this is a gorgeously renovated Greek Revival brick home. The bedrooms are lovely and spare, and our bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The breakfasts are superb. Hosts are very engaging but, as another viewer said, they are also respectful of guests' privacy. On summer mornings breakfast is on the back porch overlooking breathtaking gardens and the Otter Creek. Highly recommended!!"
"While it was very clean and had updated modern appliances, it was completely charm-free. Well-designed so the host did not have to lift a finger (directions not to leave any dishes in the sink, remove shoes indoors, take your soiled towels to their porch...). Decorated in white, white, and touches of black, the unit was devoid of any color and had no art on any wall nor any attractive decorative pieces. The spiral staircase in the center of the unit was an accident waiting to happen. Apparently upholstered furniture was not permitted. Nor was a sofa. Two rather uncomfortable chairs made sure the was no snuggling on the premesis. Never could this be called cozy. Words like Spartan, sterile and minimalist come to mind. With all said, the location was lovely and convenient."
