"I will preface my review by saying I have had no work performed here however my little sister was in Vermont on vacation when her Hondas CVT transmission went out. Given I am the career tech of the family and also a Honda Tech I immediately got questioned and became the middle man about the quote and repairs. Jason was incredibly nice and respectful and explained everything to me in perfect detail so I could better explain the financial justification to my sister. Ultimately their pricing was incredibly fair and transparent. Had I quoted the same transmission from the same vendor etc our prices and labor quotes were dead on. No added fluff or extra nonsense. Ultimately the car wasn't worth what was quoted as a CP job. Given both my sister and I live out of state and on opposite corners of the US it threw a wrench. Jason and Nick quickly were game to offload thr car just to minimize headache. My God they didn't even charge a diag fee which is something I can't imagine as a dealership tech but they were spot on. Ultimately my family decided to hotshot the car to my dealership in Texas for me to fix and Jason again met this with respect and care. This was a smooth and great process with them and was I not a technician and were my car to be in Vermont I would hands down trust these guys to make honest and quality repairs. Their knowledge was dead on and unflawed when we spoke of the industry and trends and cost. Would highly recommend these guys as trustworthy and a breed you no longer find in the industry."
"Jason and Nick are both stand-up people who helped me a tremendous amount when my car broke down 800 miles from home. They presented me with all my options and when I ultimately made the choice to transport the car to my brother many states away (unrelated to concerns with the shop - just made more sense in my situation), they coordinated extensively with him and the transporter while holding onto the car. I would trust them with my car over and over and recommend this location to anyone looking for an honest and reliable auto shop. Thank you both so much (and anyone else who was involved that I missed!)."
"Just wanted to share that I had a great experience at this AAMCO location. I came needing a new transmission and they were flexible with me on options for repairs and helping me get my car back as soon as possible. I even saw the owner helping out the mechanics to help get cars back to their owners quicker. I did end up needing another adjustment to the transmission at an AAMCO closer to my home (had a poor experience with an AAMCO I had found on my own), however, this owner called around to other AAMCO locations closer to me, was willing to pay the difference if there were any charges for the adjustment (which luckily wasn't needed), and explained to the other AAMCO the adjustment I needed/situation. Even though I needed an this other adjustment, I felt so taken care of by this owner and AAMCO location. I wish they were closer to me as I would trust going to them for additional repairs!"
"I had transmission fluid leak from the transmission pan due to one of the bolts that hold the pan got broken inside the block and the head snapped off. I went to the dealership, and after evaluation they called me back and said that their most experienced mechanic looked at it and said it is risky to try to extract the bolt. There is a high chance the drill they use could drill through the block. They said I should be prepared to buy a new transmission. I contacted several local shops in Burlington and all of them said they don't have experience with that. After doing some online search I found AAMCO Transmissions, however, they had a few weeks wait time. They were my last shot here in Burlington before I start to look out of state, so I made an appointment anyway. I spoke with Jason and he seemed confident that is an easy job they should be able to do. I dropped the car off the night before my appointment. Jason called me the next morning and told me that they got the bolt out! They put a new pan on with a new gasket. The transmission fluid doesn't leak anymore. Very skillful and professional team. They are a bit pricey and the wait time is long, but they are well worth it especially with your not every day vehicle issues. I highly recommend AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care!"
"Had my brakes done here in 2021. They needed replacing super prematurely due to salt corrosion, but unfortunately the warranty was already up. When I called to get them fixed, Nick got me in right away and honored the warranty anyway while also helping out with some other work I needed. Really friendly people and seem to be very transparent about work that needs doing and work that can wait."
