"A lovely manor house set on a hill in landscaped grounds. The bed was super comfortable and the room was charming but there were maintenance issues with the antique furniture making it a quirky experience. The menu looked good and I think the chef is good at cooking meals but should maybe focus on those and buy in the bread and croissants rather than trying to house-make everything. The staff were super - very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"My husband and I just spent our wedding weekend staying and eating at The Manor on Golden Pond and had the most wonderful weekend! We stayed in The Oxford, which was recently remodeled/updated, and proved to be 5 stars in our book. The food was also absolutely delicious. "Overall a great place. We spent two nights there. We stayed in the Windsor room. View is awesome over the lake. Room is a little dated, but not bad. It is a very old building, and it takes a lot to keep it up. We were there in early December. Windows are a little drafty. Fireplace worked great. Bed was good, but a little stiffer than I like. We ate at the restaurant one night. Food was really good. It is a little pricey, but worth it. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are really good. They ran out of stuff on second day, seemed like some bad planning. Never seen a salt and pepper chess board."
