"This was a fun hike with high cliffs. Rocky places to walk over Roots and trees to go over or under as well as low areas and a board walk. We went with different ages All Can handle it if they enjoy hiking"
"A nice hike, lots of maps and clearly marked the whole way through. If it's rainy or foggy, make sure you have good traction, the roots can be slippery. Dogs can be off leash before 10, but be warned there are some steep drop offs about 30 minutes into it right next to the trail."
"A nice little loop trail that should be manageable for most people. You can park behind the Townhall and one trail head is right on the parking lot. The other trail head is up above the parking lot closer to the transfer station. After a heavy rain the night before it was, a little bit bulky and lots of mosquitoes inland. Some of the trail in the woods is not terribly well marked either. A great trail to bring the pup. The color of the water is pretty remarkable!"
"This was one of the best trails I have ever done. Not easy at some parts and may take care with children and pets as there are some very steep parts! It's beautiful and relaxing. I loved this place. Well marked. There is a spot where everyone can build fairy houses it's very cool! Clam diggers come up in the bay to dig."
"This place was a wonderful find for my husband, myself, and our dog (big plus!) We spent the day checking out points of interest in the area and this one intrigued us. We started directly behind the town hall which puts you out near the recycling facility. The woods and trails were absolutely beautiful. Lots of soft moss, ground cover, rocks, roots, and just interesting terrain. It was very icy on a winter day but what a treat to have this place entirely to ourselves. The walk along the cliff is absolutely breathtaking, worth the hike and visit alone. But if you enjoy hiking be sure to do the whole loop. We saw Henry's lookout and luckily were able to complete the loop and come out in the back opposite corner of the town hall lot. They've done a lot of trail work on the portion that starts in the corner of the lot. They've put down crushed rock, covered it with gravel and made a large well manicured walking path along the water. They also built beautiful new bridges. I would definitely recommend this place, but do know the hiking does require some careful stepping with the varying terrain and if you have little ones or dogs be careful on the cliff walk portion of the trail as it's a very large drop off. We can't wait to come back and see it in the summer"
