"AllTrails led me to this spot as a popular easy mostly flat hike near where we were staying. It was a great outing that should be easy for most. The roots keep the trail from being muddy although some may complain - don’t. Just watch your step. A few wet spots and indication of poison ivy but it wasn’t an issue for us. Parking is tiny and filled up by the time we returned to our cars. Cool views of the ocean."
"This was a highlight of the mid coast. After a 0.7 mile walk along a beautiful forest trail you hit the reserve. The coastline is compact but stunning, with huge boulders overturned by glaciers lining the shoreline. Allow at least an hour of not two for the longer trails."
"Sick trail with a dramatic view of the ocean from a rocky cliff. Takes about half an hour each way. Not much of a rise but tons of roots and mud etc so not s great choice for people with mobility issues. If the parking lot is full you are just supposed to leave and come back later. Totally worth it. No special equipment requires, I walked it during mud season in jeans and tennis shoes and I was fine. There will be bugs!"
"Well worn trails leaf to great ocean and riverine views. Lots of lunch spots on the rocks that are great for sitting and contemplating your existence. Lobster boats working just offshore, so occasionally noisy and diesel stinky"
"Just a gorgeous trail, well maintained and easy to do. It goes through both airy woodland and denser forest, then opens up to the ocean with some super diverse and amazing rock formations. We just absolutely loved this walk and we took most of the longer trails. We stopped many times to enjoy the different views. In total, we did about 3.5 miles+ and we took our time so about 4 hours in total. Take a picnic! And lots of tripping roots so pay attention as you walk."
