"Beautiful spot. Not so great if you're looking to go on a trail for a long walk, unless I missed some kind of sign or trail guide.. I didn't see any. Would be nice for a small family outing, picnic or the kids to run around like crazy!"
"Great place to hike a few miles, with both coastal forests and some cleared fields. The trailhead kiosk has mention of the creation of the Preserve as being one of the obligations of the utility companies that operated the nearby Maine Yankee nuclear power plant, that stopped producing electricity in 1996. The plant is gone (decommissioned), however the spent fuel stored on site and my be glimpsed from the west side of the preserve."
