"Raytown Beach on the lake, they have plenty of picnic tables, charcoal grills available, and generally a very nice place to hang out. We love going there all summer to swim and enjoy some time in a beautiful spot."
"It’s really gone down hill over the years. They put a plastic boat ramp in a place where you use to be able to walk in the water. Lots of sharp rocks in the water and litter by picnic tables. Charging 3$ per adult is a rip off. Such a shame."
"Lovely park right next to the pond. Steep downhill to get the water (steep uphill to get back). Plenty of grassy area, with picnic tables and grill spots. There is no sandy beach, but easy access to the water, and the water is lovely, warm and shallow, so good for kids - as long as you are close enough to keep a good eye on them. The price is $3 per person, so pay the town for maintaining this park! :)"
"Peacock Beach is a beautiful public recreational area located in Richmond, Maine. It is a diverse nature area on Pleasant Pond. Wonderful for walking and enjoying the solitude of the off season. Bustling from Memorial Day to Labor Day offering swimming and picnicking. Limited parking is available. A nominal entrance fee is required on the honor system. A must stop area to check out and enjoy if traveling in Central Maine along Route 201!"
"There are multiple picnic tables, small charcoal BBQs, and the smallest stretch of beach I've ever seen. It should be called "Peacock hill to the water". They also asked for $2 a child and $3 an adult. The only reason I gave 2 stars rather than one is I had a good laugh."
