"Nice road in, level lot, and great family friendly trail for folks of all ages! Just be aware this trail is NOT an even walkway - there are more roots and rocks than there is dirt."
"Swarms of mosquitoes deduct a star from the rating. The hike crosses cool terrain with mossy boulders. Path is very rooty/rocky. The viewpoint is a small bare rock with a hella drop on 3 sides so the panoramic views are unobstructed. The primary ice cave still has a little ice as of early July and is refreshingly cold and free of skeeters. The lot was pretty full with 7 cars when we arrived early afternoon on a Sunday, but we met all the parties returning so we had the place to ourselves."
"Ice cave things to know. There is an outhouse near the parking area. Bring water food and a flash light the hike in is challenging with different terrain around every corner and tree roots everywhere to trip on. The hike in is incredible the forest looks like something out of a fairytale. It's a mile hike to the cave there is metal rods in bedded into the rocks to help climb down into the cave. Even in August there is still ice at the bottom of the cave. Definitely worth the drive and hike."
"Really nice hike, lovely views. Although I wouldn't say the hike out is for everyone."
"The road to get in is too rough. The hike is cool and easy. The cave a wasnt too exciting, there was some ice but its more like a hole. One of the iron rungs is real loose too. Ive been twice and probably wont go ever again."
