"My dream has always been to get an antique ring - especially a Victorian era ring. I live in Iowa, so the only jewelry options I have are from Kay, Jared’s, etc. — AKA not what I have been looking for. Since I had to come to Portland for work, I researched ahead of time to see if there were any antique/vintage jewelers in the area. Market Square immediately caught my eye, so I added it to my list of places to visit. Walking up to the shop, I was greeted with the most gorgeous selection of rings, pendants, etc., in the windows. Then, I walked into the shop and was mesmerized by hundreds of little treasures tucked neatly into glass cases. I knew I had finally found what I had been searching for. From there, one of the employees, Milena, took special care to understand what I was looking for and passing along her expertise until we found the perfect ring for me. Since I was only going to be in town for two weeks, I was worried about the ring sizing timeline, but Milena assured me that it would be done before I left. Incredibly enough, it was done in about a week! Also, I might have gone to the shop a couple more times to pick up some other things…..I couldn’t resist! I’m just now starting to invest in my jewelry collection, so Milena was able to help me set up my starting pieces that will last for generations. They are the most beautiful gold chains and pendants that work amazing together or just on their own.
