"Sassy (Belgian Shepard/.Retriever mix) and I have recently started working with Hannah. She is a knowledgable and skilled trainer who not only assesses the ability of the dogs she's working with - but also the strengths and weaknesses of his/her human - which really helps build confidence. Sassy has a lot of potential and I really think Hannah has the ability to bring out the best in her."
"Absolutely wonderful experience for both myself and my pup! Look forward to more classes with Hannah! She met people where they and their dog were - if you were doing great in one skill, she'd make it more difficult so that your pup continued to learn. If a skill was too difficult, she'd modify it until the dog could do it. Every class was a learning experience! Wonderful teacher."
"Hannah is a trainer I would recommend without reservation. I am very pleased with her approach and the progress I am making with my excitable Golden. Upon completing a six week group class, I know I have found the trainer I had hoped to find. I am now updating this review as my dog has recently returned from a two week board and train program. Our relationship has been transformed. Before Hannah (BH), I would get anxious as we would approach a situation that would illicit an excitable reaction in my dog. His excitement (particularly around other animals) would render him deaf to any command. I tried several techniques learned from other trainers and sadly always revert to using the Gentle Leader to gain control. After Hannah (AH...ah!) I am now confident as we go about town, he now walks calmly at my side (on leash and off) and remains calm when otherwise he would become "manic". When we walk off leash, his recall is 100% reliable. We are still a work in progress but we are well on our way to having the dog/human relationship I desire."
"Hannah is incredibly talented with dogs. She provides clear instruction for them and for their humans. Hannah helped us immensely when we rescued our high energy puppy. She worked with our dog to learn her personality and then instructed us on how to do the continued training with our dog. When we first started working with Hannah, our dog had a mind of her own. She was easily excited around other dogs, stole food from EVERYONE, and would run off whenever she felt like it. Hannah helped us teach our dog to listen and be attentive. Through Hannah's teaching we learned how to teach a dog who was out of control to be calm when meeting other dogs, respect boundaries (and counter space), and come when called. Our dog is now trained to the point where she comes to work with me and hikes off leash with us regularly. Watching Hannah work is impressive and I'm so grateful for the guidance she's given us. I must hear her voice in my head at least once a day when I'm with my dog."
"When I met Hannah, my hound mix Alma was two and a half and had been getting increasingly leash aggressive and anxious/aggressive when meeting other dogs to the point where we were nervous to let her meet other dogs. Hannah assessed Alma's social skills by having her around her dog and a friend's dog and then taking them to a nearby dog park. By the end of the afternoon she had Alma completely settled as one of the "pack" and assured me that Alma completely knew how to interact and play with other dogs. She gave me a number of helpful pointers and things to work on with Alma - but most importantly the confidence/reassurance of knowing that my dog could totally handle social situations and with some work (and plenty of exercise) be well behaved. Since our session with Hannah, Alma's quality of life has greatly improved as she has been able to go on pack walks, play in the dog park, go on off leash hikes, etc. I highly recommend working with Hannah if you get the chance!"
