Reviews
"I highly recommend Family Guidance Center of Milford, and especially Kathy Stack! Kathy is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and genuinely cares for her clients. I started seeing her at the start of the pandemic, and I truly don’t know what I would do without her! Whether we are discussing “the Big Stuff”, or day-to-day stressors, I find that her advice and feedback stick with me during the times in-between sessions in a way that I haven't found with other therapists. Her approach is supportive and patient, and she’s taught me to be more kind to myself! Kathy’s a wonderful counselor, and I recommend her to anyone in need of her services!"
"I don't usually write reviews, but after reading the 1 star review for the Family Guidance Center of Milford and for Kathy Stack, I feel compelled to say my experience with both the center and Kathy has been very positive. I am grateful to the Center and Kathy for providing care to me in this unprecedented time."
"I have been seeing Kathy Stack for about a year now. I was in a very dark place where I have been many times in my life. I have seen other therapists with little success and had basically given up. Things had gotten so bad for me economically, personally, professionally, in every other way. I decided to give it one last shot with a therapist. I am so very grateful that I was paired with Kathy. In just a year I have gained almost all of my confidence back. I have been at my current job for over a year now, after being unemployed with a college degree for 2-3 years. I am making so much progress in accepting and learning to cope with trauma I experienced throughout most of the 54 years of my life. And she is doing all of this for me without adding any extra meds. Right now, I owe a huge thanks to Kathy and I plan to continue seeing her for a long time to come. I respect her immensely and trust her fully with my mental health an well being. She has done nothing but help me. Christine Fortado Nashua, NH"
"Everyone at the Family Guidance Center has been wonderful. My insurance has changed multiple times over the past year and the Family Guidance Center has been flexible and supportive. I have been seeing Kathy Stack for about a year and she has been the best therapist I have ever worked with. I have seen about 10 different therapists over the past 15 years. Most recently I was looking for someone who would not only listen but also challenge me and push me to set goals for myself. Kathy has been exactly what I have needed. She is real and honest and has pushed me to be the best version of myself. I am really grateful I found her."
"Only reason I am giving a one star review is because Kathryn Stack is NOT professional at all. I had an appointment with her today, there was an issue with billing and instead of her taking the session to actually speak about my issues, she took it in her hands to completely disrespect me. I explained to her my mother takes control of payments and I, myself, am a student. Clearly, she did not understand. She basically in other words told me that if I could not afford therapy, to not do therapy. She said and I quote "If you have 10 cents in your pocket, would you go to the store and buy milk?" The session was not even 2 minutes long and after she got her words out, she hung up on me. She even refused to speak to my mother when I offered in regards to the bill. I have looked up to Kathy. I trusted her. She backstabbed me. A therapist is supposed to HELP hurt clients, but instead she hurt me. I was so hurt that I even felt like crying. No professional would make you feel that way. The supervisor is also super unprofessional as well, I can't remember the name but it starts with and L. When my mother spoke to her, she kept interrupting and kept covering for Kathy, which is not right whatsoever. She tried to rush my mom and said "quickly because I have other clients waiting" So disgusting. If you can't do your job, don't do it at all. It's clear those two are in it for the money. Can't say anything bad about anyone else since I have not personally spoken to them."
