"GORGEOUS. Visited Gulf Hagas and what a gnarly fun hike that was plus the views of the waterfalls along the way were breathtaking. If using AllTrails...do not follow the GPS Google maps to trailhead parking it'll lead you astray. Follow the "how to get there" instructions. Well worth the drive and hike, saw maybe 2 other people on a gorgeous Saturday. Hike was definetly a moderate 8.3 miles with lots of incline, exposed roots and rock scrambles. Superb hike. One of Maines hidden gems will be back to camp!"
"My brother told me about this spot, so I had to check it out myself. I am so happy I did, because I drove by various ponds and trails that I will need to check out in the future, including tomorrow possibly. I did go to the summit of Laurie's Ledge, but I missed the sign to turn for the Ledge view. However, the summit alone was definitely worth the hike."
"AMC Medawisla Lodge in Maine is an outstanding vacation spot for hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and star gazing."
"We visited recently to hike the Gulf Hagas Trail as well as trails near the Gorman Chairback Lodge. The Gulf Hagas Trail offers some scenic waterfall views. We hiked from the top towards the bottom of the trail so that we didn't have to hike in the water. We visited Stair Falls, Buttermilk Falls, Billings Falls and The Jaws. The hike has rocks and lots of tree roots. Hiking poles are recommended. The hike winds through fir, balsam, birch, and maple forest. It is pretty."
"Only a great and loving power greater than man could create such beauty #totalserenity #Godisgood"
