"Another great relaxed experience. Yes, Joe was at the 915 ferry with his paddle to meet ferry visitors. (If you're staying on the island, they are on the shore behind the Gull restaurant, so it's easy to ride a bike over to their location) They told us about the tides, wind, shipping lanes, capsizing, etc as part of the safety talk. We had a 3:1 ratio with visitors:guides, so nobody was ever far from getting personal attention. We saw bald eagles, osprey, military stores, and visited Fort Gorges, and got plenty of great stories and history from Joe and our guides."

Just like they said they would, our 2 guides promptly met us at the ferry and brought us over to our kayaks! Before setting off, we were given our life jackets and shown safety protocol (including weather) and then off to start our guided paddle around!
