"The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The price was quite reasonable for the show ($29 for two adults and two kids). The venue is small and in the basement of the university’s science building; well marked and easy to find. We were able to park on the street nearby too. Overall, a great, inexpensive activity for older kids, especially on a rainy afternoon. My family and I saw the planetarium’s Season of Light show and it was entertaining and interesting for my middle schoolers. The show ran about 35 minutes and was a mix of astronomy and history."

"Awesome family outing! Great for kids, especially those old enough to sit through a movie or presentation. The presenter is a Gem! If your child is adverse to dark places, it may not be for you."

"We experienced a few different issues with one of the planetarium’s laser shows. Aside from the poor quality and resulting headaches, the show had some very offensive racial stereotypes depicted in it. Which is a shame considering what potential for community building in USM and Portland."

"My 2yo and I enjoyed the Dinosaurs at Dusk show. She also loved the stars in the dome after the show and kept asking to see them again as the lights came on and we were leaving. The quality of things could use some updating but I understand that probably isn’t in their budget. We will definitely return."
