"Summerhawk is a quaint resort on Lake Wentworth. It offers the classic lakeside cottage experience that harkens back to simpler days. Well appointed rustic cottages with private beaches make for an intimate experience with nature. Located in a historically-rich area, it was once part of New Hampshire's first governor's summer place. The proprietors are welcoming and make great local guides, too. We used their boats and kayaks for a fun day on the water that included a paddle out to the many islands that dot the picturesque lake to enjoy a panoramic view of brilliant autumn foliage on display. Centrally-located in the heart of NH, Summerhawk makes for a great location for an adventurous exploration of all that the Granite State has to offer."
