"My family rented a lakeside cottage last summer. The location and the size and the layout of the house were great. What wasn’t great was the lack of cleanliness of the place. There were ants in the kitchen, lots of mold in the one shower in the place, there was dust everywhere, and lots of animal hair on the furniture. Two of the mattresses had to be over 30 years old. Some of the pillows were very flat and had blood stains on them. When communicating with Geordy nicely about our concerns he responded with defensive and accusatory language. He did agree to reimburse us $50 for the pillows, cleaning supplies, new shower curtains, and bug spray. However, that NEVER happened. Even after sending a follow up email which was ignored. It is sad that Geordi’s response was so poor to rectify the situation."

"We remembered a great experience renting through Yankee Pedlar about twenty years ago and felt safe about selecting a home from their site. Yet, this was one of those “exceeded expectations” experiences. We had high hopes from the pics, but they did not do this magnificent home justice. And the lake location was an 11 on a scale of ten. Situated at the dead end of a magnificent cove, it allowed our small grandchildren to be in the water ALL DAY without any safety concerns from watercraft traffic. And still it was less than 15 minutes by our boat to the public docks in Wolfboro. From our one year granddaughter to our yellow lab, EVERYONE was devastated at having to leave this slice of heaven at the end of the week. We hope to be back."
