"Waited in the waiting room for MULTIPLE hours in agonizing pain after being transferred to this hospital for possible kidney failure. Truly disgusted with the way this hospital treats their patients. This should be against HIPPA."

"The staff and nurses are all good Except I’ve only been to four River emergency room twice and the second time I went they wouldn’t let my mom come in and we told the pre-check in nurse where they bring you in a room and check your blood pressure that my mom was my legal guardian And that lady said, I don’t care So that was only time my mom and I was unhappy was the second time we went"

"Amazing place. They really care about you and make evert effort to make you comfortable. My wife needed hand surgery. We had to do it in the hospital, because my wife has Cerebral Palsy."

"My 2-year old daughter needed stitches/glue from a gash above her eye tonight. Went to Maine Med ER, sat there for over 4 hours while my toddler had an open wound on her face and they didn’t even acknowledge we were there, or let us know how long it would be, so we left and came to Mercy. Best decision we could have made. We maybe waited in the waiting room for 10 minutes, then were in and out in about an hour, the nurses and doctor (I wish I had gotten their names so I could mention them) were so kind, patient and informative and my toddler and her sister walked out with popsicles, stickers and smiles on their faces. I would give them 10 stars if I could, just amazing."

"Got a $3000 operation. Was told the smallest payment plan was $600 a month. I pay my bills, but I don’t have an extra $600 laying around every month. They manipulated me into taking out a private bank loan with a company they profit from for selling your medical debt. The bank sent me my first correspondence of any kind when I was already two payments behind, and stacked with late fees. I have no idea how this is legal."
