"After two years of dealing with mid-thoracic back pain I started seeing Noah. The pain limited my ability to be as active as I have always been and was also hampering my sleep. I had tried physical therapy in the past as well as chiropractic services and yoga with limited results. Noah's personalized approach has enabled me to get back to my active lifestyle and given me a better understanding of my body and things I can do to work through any future problems before they escalate. I saw Noah 7 times over a 4 month period and after each visit he followed up with personalized videos and instructions for me to help me during the rehab process. I can't say enough about how he has helped me get through a very difficult stretch of time and get to a point where I feel better than ever. I highly recommend him."
"It is truly hard to capture in words what Noah has been able to teach me --- I came to him 6+ months ago after 1.5 years of severe chronic back/shoulder/neck pain. After many attempts (surgery, chiropractor, acupuncture, PT and massage) to lessen and eliminate the pain, Noah's plan to slowly teach me the postural restoration and strength building skills has truly allowed me to feel like myself again. I continue to have an amazing team of folks who support my physical and mental health needs, and honestly, Noah's at the heart of the team now. I feel positive and empowered to plan adventures again and rest assured that each night I can tuck my kids in without distracting and constant pain. It's felt like a part-time job making the adjustments to allow for this change, and Noah continues to guide me through the work with kindness, honesty, and MIRACULOUS intellect and problem-solving skills."
"I came to Noah for help with shoulder pain and immobility. It was a slow deterioration with no specific injury and quite confounding as all my tricks weren’t working. I tried yoga, stretch, foam rollers, massage, osteopathic, acupuncture. I tried a lot. Noah’s keen understanding of physiology in motion was finally what started to shift the situation. He listened, provided reassurance, shared underlying causes and how we would address them, over time. I saw improvement immediately and have gained not only full use and pain free range of motion back in the shoulder but learned to inhabit my body in a whole new way, allowing for more freedom and capacity. Noah is the real deal. I recommend him in the highest."
"I went to Noah at Portland Integrative Physical Therapy, because I was dealing with recurring hip and lower back discomfort for two years that was preventing me from playing competitive sports and would inhibit my ability to move in certain ways. I had previously gone to another PT and a bodywork therapist, but the problem was recurring and their methods seemed to work for a while but never stuck long term. Going to Noah is truly a specialized experience--he worked to find solutions that worked for me and my life. His approach gave me a better sense of my own body, how it moves, how it sits, and tools to use when I sense misalignment. Not only is my pain under control, the exercises he provided have given me better range of movement/ability to strengthen and I feel strongly equipped to deal with any discomfort should it ever come again. I highly recommend Noah!!"
"I went to see Noah hoping to find relief from a variety of recurring issues. I'm rapidly approaching 50 and have over 30 years of degenerative disc disease in my lumbar spine. While that condition is pretty manageable, I was repeatedly afflicted with pain and dysfunction on the right side of my body - things like upper back pain, shoulder impingement, elbow tendonitis, knee tendonitis. Finding minimal and only temporary relief with traditional techniques and chasing my tail endlessly in the foam-roll-stretch-resistance-band-exercise loop I was intrigued by Noah's description of Resilience Training and hopeful that it might help me return to a very active lifestyle. I've seen Noah approximately 12 times over a 7 month period and from the first appointment have been feeling progressively better, to now feeling great. Noah was able to simplify things for me with a manageable and evolving set of drills that address the root causes of my previous complaints. I can honestly say that the pains that brought me to Noah are either significantly improved or no longer present. Better still, the improvements I've made to my breathing capacity have allowed for better overall joint alignment, decreased muscle tension, and feeling more comfortable and capable than I thought would be possible for me at this point in my life. Noah's knowledge, ability to read a body in motion, and exceptional attention to detail (including personalized instructional video follow-ups) are just part of what set him apart from anyone I've ever worked with. Added bonus, Noah has a great sense of humor and the appointments are really fun. If you want to actually get right, learn some interesting and extremely valuable concepts and techniques, and you have the gumption to do a little bit of work on your own - make an appointment with Noah. You won't regret it and you'll never look at physical therapy the same way again."
