"We went for the Highland Festival and camped for the weekend. When you camp in the “overflow” you’re assigned field parking when you get there. If you would like to get a site near friends, should arrive together. There’s electric available in the overflow fields but make sure you bring a long extension chord. Beautiful grounds. Nice grassy fields, wooded areas, and there’s a pretty beach on an inlet. Sandy on the shore, muddy once get out a little. Clean campground. Has bathrooms and showers. The Highland Games were a lot of fun. Loved camping here and will be back!"
"Our family had the best time celebrating my mom's birthday. I love that there are shady areas and are dog friendly"
"very happy with it. best bet is to show up. was unable to reach them on phone. property is very impressive and large. plenty of space and was rather empty. be realistic and do not expect top water/plumbing - it's camping after all. best of all - no road noise."
"Travel Campers beware. They do not have 30amp hook-ups, water hook-ups, or sewer hook-up. This is what I guess you would call roughing it. Don't get me wrong. It's a great campground otherwise. We really would've stayed, but the amenities are lacking for our needs. We will miss the chance to have seen local bands and this awesome jamboree fest. If you can't do without a dedicated 30amp power or water connection, then heads up. But if you tent or have a smaller camper, this place if for you. It's the type of old campground that I used to go to as a kid. A hidden gem for rustic campers who love live music festivals."
