"Great campground. Close to swimming, hiking and all the northern activities. Clean, paved, plenty of firewood. Campsites are spacious. Facilities; ie. bathroom and washhouse are new and clean. Road noise from Rt 16 is minimal. Attached pics of sites 99 & 100 for reference. Easy access to local hiking and swimming from the campground as well."
"This campground is a gem! The sites are level and very clean, good amount of space between sites! Some sites have power and water, some just water and some don’t have anything. Great place to walk or ride a bike , as roadway is paved in the campground. Very quiet, peaceful and there are hosts onsite!"
"Have been coming here for 50+ years. This is the best it’s ever been. Some people complain on here about the cost of showers…but the very fact that they have them is awesome! A new company took over last year near the end of the season, and it is much better than previous ones. Hosts are so helpful and friendly, bathrooms are immaculate, sites are huge, views are awesome, grounds are beautifully kept. Just a gorgeous place."
"Very helpful and friendly staff, we set up in field as for good sunlight for our solar. Convenient location close to town and hiking trails. Only downside is pay for showers, 2.50 for 5 minutes, ugh, who has that many quarters?! Be sure to visit the visitor center, a great place for information and history."
"The thing this campground has going for it is it’s proximity to Mount Washington and most of the sites are spacious and wooded. Now onto the cons. We didn’t realize it was going to cost us about $25 in quarters to use the showers. Also, one of the hosts came up and said, if you have cash I can just flip on a switch for you. That seemed suspicious. The BUGS! This is nature so we expect bugs, but the minute your skin is outdoors you will be attacked by mosquitoes. Lots of mosquitoes! The dump station for those of us that use it is very poorly designed. The dump station itself is nice, but the way they graded the pavement makes it impossible to adequately dump your black and grey tanks. We had to use one of our adjustment ramps for leveling, just to get a decent angle to try and dump. Would we come back? No."
