"I am a 52 yr. old disabled veteran with multiple areas of trauma to my spinal cord. I have had lower back surgery, neck surgery/ fusion, as well as my top ribs removed with little to no relief and all of this medical trauma has left me to live a life of constant pain. When I got tired of the VA giving me the run around and doctors who only wanted to work one issue at a time, I decide to give acupuncture another try. I have tried it in the past however, it was not done in the same manner as I received from Patrick. Since over the course of the last 8 weeks, I have been treated once a week at the Gentle Porcupine by Patrick, and after answering a few questions about pain levels as well as areas that I experience the pain and at what times of the day, Patrick got to work and delt with all of my ailments. In some instances he was able to eliminate right away, other areas he was able to at least reduce the pain and then over time was able to nearly eliminate it all together. I have been able to stop all the heavy pain, nerve deadening and anti inflammatory medications after 30 years of taking them. I only take homeopathic type pills to help with vitamin deficiencies and for my overall health and well being. After 8 weeks of treatment, my pain is at tolerable levels, my overall mood has improved, and my energy levels are back. Patrick is one of those health care providers that cares about his patients, is very knowledgeable with his treatment practices and listens to what you have to say and then does his utmost to see you improve. I am not walking away from this thinking that I am fixed, and I fully understand that some point later in time, that pain levels whether new or previously experienced may return, but I now know where to go. I cannot believe that I trusted medical professionals for 30 years and that all they ever did for me was to feed me new medications or increase my dosage while I fueled their bank accounts working one area of concern at a time.
