"I LOVE dr.hark - she is nice, considerate, knowledgeable and good with my baby. While she was away, I unfortunately had the experience of meeting Dr.garber. This single encounter made me completely reconsider going to this practice. He was rude, condescending and dismissive. He did not care that my 6 month old was in pain and assumed his crying to be “just fussiness”. I’ve seen my child’s teeth when swollen with my own eyes and taken pictures but this doctor told me my son WAS NOT TEETHING AT ALL. As a mother I will stand up for my child and his inability to speak up for himself yet. While I asked for a new doctor they were busy this day and could not see my sick child. I appreciate the practice manager and her kindness but I highly advise against Dr.Garber. This distaste was made known to the office directly and is still going to be posted as a warning to all parents, mothers and especially young parents who need guidance not a “doctor” that acts as if they know you’re child more than you do! If you do go to this practice I highly recommend Dr.Hark."
"I highly recommend Framingham Pediatrics. I've used them for my daughter for the last several years, and now for her newborn brother. Dr. Baumel is our favorite Doctor at the practice, although there is a female Doctor who is also great. Over the years I believe we have seen most of the practice Doctors and they each are very different but very respectful. Dr. Baumel is very knowledgeable, in both the former and current practices. He's also very scientific and keeps up with latest research in pediatrics. I find that he offers a great point of view, and wonderful recommendations in books, literature, Ted Talks, and referrals of other highly skilled doctors. These doctors didn't just get their degree and stop learning, they take their continuing ed very seriously and use that to make up to date, informed, medical decisions. Here is my thorough review of the practice. ... When you walk into the practice it is full of color and life. They have a large aquarium and even a bookshelf in the lobby. There are tons of 3D stickers of butterflies, and encouraging affirmations for children. Please look through the photos attached to this review. The staff are great however, they do try to start off with saying they aren't a nurse and can't provide medical advice. But they will always get you a nurse if you need to speak to one or ask questions. We've found that our appointment times aren't far off and we never end up waiting too long. ... Once called, you walk through a hallway with giant posters of all sorts of childhood movies. From Monsters inc, to even the Wizard of Oz. Each room has a different theme. One is Harry Potter, one is National Parks, another has a big tree and bird houses, another has dogs, another is ocean themed. They are all wonderful for children and even adults. I find myself checking out the mobiles (hanging from the ceiling) in each room. They all correspond to the theme. At milestone check ups each child gets an age appropriate book free from their office. ... When a nurse or doctor come in they are very pleasant. They always have a calm and happy body language which I think helps to calm my nervous toddler sometimes. They listen to our concerns, ask questions when applicable, and almost always write things down. I almost never have to completely start over with my concerns when someone else walks in the room. I always get frustrated explaining the same thing over and over again. That doesn't usually happen. The nurses communicate with the doctors very well. Our family is a little different, we co-parent with my ex husband so sometimes we have three parents asking questions or bringing up concerns. Dr. Baumel and the staff have always been very respectful of our parenting situation and has offered us great advice with co-parenting and our schedule transfers. ... The practice is very communicative on My Chart as well. With two kiddos, and living an hour away I find myself asking if something is office appointment worthy. They even ask for pictures to be sent through the portal sometimes. We've even had situation where a nurse was on the phone with us, waiting for our bug bite picture to come through the portal to see if we should come in for an office visit. There have been times where all my concerns have been addressed through the portal messaging. Their after hours line is separate from the main office, so get a pen to write it down when you are listening to the message. We've found that the after hours response isn't as immediate as we would like, however, they do always get back to us within 1-3 hours. If there was anything needing immediate need, we would go to the ER. It really is a parent's dream to have an office that 1. is open daily, 2. Has doctors that are highly knowledgeable and respectful, and 3. Are active online. I can't say enough about this practice. They even ask for constructive criticism and take that seriously. We have tried 3 other pediatrician practices before landing with Framingham Pediatrics and we couldn't be happier."
"Medically perfect in their knowledge and treatment, in my limited experience with our two essentiallyhealthy kids. Always there for us 100% in any kind of health concern. And I have found them to be scrupulously on time. However, as a practice, they appear to be entirely devoid of any sense of humor whatsoever."
"The Doctors are good but they won't be on time. I've always been on time but I had to wait an hour+ to see the doctor. When I asked receptionist about how much it takes, she replied "It takes sometime, anyhow you've only been waiting for 15 minutes" and the receptionists started talking on my back . They really do not care about other's time. I need to take half day off to take my kid to Framingham Pediatrics. Time is Money, I hope they will realize this."
"Dr. Baumel is outstanding. I wish I could give him 10 stars because he is worthy of that rating. He has been treating my children for the last 10 years and my wife and I have been thrilled with the care they have received. Appointments are on time and never rushed. Its easy for our kids to be seen when there is an emergency. The practice runs extremely well and the customer service is top notch. Dr. Baumel takes the time needed to properly evaluate our children at each visit and then to discuss various issues with us in a professional, non-threatening and friendly manner. He has a unique rapport with children and is well-suited for his profession. We drive from quite a distance to this practice but it has been well worth the trips. Thank-you Dr. Baumel and everyone at Framingham Pediatrics."
