"The providers are great but the office and staff working the front is a nightmare. Its unreal how long you sit on hold just to get in touch with someone there and it takes days for someone to get back to you. I tried to get my records released because I wanted to leave the practice and they refused to email or fax me a records release form and told me I needed to come in the office to do it. Everything has been a hassle and stressful since I started here. I am high risk with their maternal fetal medicine. I was seen once in my first trimester and have my 20 week anatomy scheduled. I received a call from scheduling that the provider won’t be in that day and they tried pushing me out to 24 weeks. I had to advocate for myself that this was not acceptable being high risk. I received a call back regarding the issue after complaining and they had no record of this. This office is just causing me unnecessary stress at this point."
"I agree with most of these reviews! First, Regarding the Dr, ultrasound tech, and phlebotomist... wonderful. However the directions they have to their office have apparently been a problem for many patients and yet they don't fix it. This would not have been a big deal if I had a vehicle but I take a medicab. I ended up at St Peters and missed the appointment, then had to relay the fact that I have a high risk pregnancy for multiple reasons and was bleeding and had to beg for a quicker appointment. I assure you I was met with much attitude and made to feel worse than I already was and they made sure to make me feel like I was the problem and jacking up her day. After that initial appointment I wanted to see a doctor closer to home (but still an Albany Med branch) I am also a full time college student and due to brutal morning sickness I have missed some classes, my Professors are super understanding but need a note so the sick days are not counted against me. When I asked for the note they refused on the grounds that I was going to another office! And once again I caught that aggressive scolding tone despite me refusing to play into it and remaining as polite as possible (because I was raised that way.) Called my primary care doctor and they didn't ask a second question about it and asked what else if anything they could do. Also they days later have not sent in my B6 script, and I just don't want to be so sick if I can help it. We all can always strive to be/do better, someone should let em know! ✌️"
"Speaking with who I need to today to get this place held responsible for their lack of medical knowledge and care. The front desk is a JOKE. You’re treated like cattle when you walk in, You’re screamed at to grab a beeper and sit down until it goes off. When it’s your turn be prepared to have the rudest receptionist you’ve most likely ever experienced, at first I thought it was just the guy we got the first time, but they are ALL rude. Who is hiring these people? We live three hours away, got to my appointment and were told they changed the time to earlier (without our knowledge) so they said they couldn’t see us, even though my appointment time was still the same even on Mychart. I’m not even considered high risk, I just needed an ultrasound, and both times I was actually seen it took the ultrasound tech over two hours, because the baby wasn’t cooperating as she put it, this happened twice…..I switched providers was treated with respect and my ultrasound was around 25 minutes with no issues. Oh and good luck scheduling and appointment, the dmv is faster. I was on hold for 45 minutes just to speak to the front desk about getting my records sent over to my new Obgyn. Read the other reviews before going here please. Don’t waste your time and out the care of yourself and your baby in the hands of these people."
"First of all I am an AMC employee. If I didn’t have insurance through them I wouldn’t use this office at all. My one star is directed towards the front desk. My doctor is amazing. Getting a hold of this office for an appointment is a nightmare as well as getting a hold of a nurse. You might as well forget it. Phone calls pretty much go unanswered. The check in process is terrible in the actual office as well. You are given a pager to sit down with and wait for your number to be called. Even if you arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment which is requested; be prepared for the front desk to not check you in until way beyond your visit. I am not sure what needs to be done to correct the problems in this office. It is pretty clear they just hire “anyone” to fill a seat."
