The Black Tux at Nordstrom

"Sean/Shawn gets 6 stars. Dan gets 0 stars. Hence, an average of 3 stars. TL;DR: Sean/Shawn-amazing, kind, helpful. Dan-echoes of sexism/racism/unconscious bias draped in unprofessionalism. I present female and I'm in the men's section. Cool. Sean/Shawn wasn't thrown off. He walked me over and made the expected small talk about being a groomswoman. I was early and waited 20 minutes while Dan ignored my existence as I was sitting IN THE BLACK TUX WAITING SPACE. Sean/Shawn came to check on me since Dan had busied himself with other things, including the appointment after mine. Dan didn't even acknowledge him. Even after telling the next appointment he'd get back to him, Dan fielded ANOTHER question while I was sitting in front of him. Fitting was sloppy. The pants were awful. I was swimming in the jacket. The only tailoring offered was the pants hem. Picture that scene from The Little Rascals in the bank. I was Stymie. Terrible. I'll spend my money elsewhere"

"Use anyone else. Everything they say is a lie. They can’t actually meet their own promises and then refuse to do anything about it. They truly are the worst company I have ever dealt with. One of my groomsman only got his suit the day before the wedding and it fit poorly, but at that point nothing you could do. Another suit black tux called to tell me they couldn’t get his size the week of the wedding. Their solution can’t he just where a size or two smaller."

"Came to get fitted for my wedding tux and Dan Potthoff was extremely helpful. My groomsmen and i showed up unprepared and he accommodated all of us and helped us get fitted. Come in and ask for Dan. Best service I've had!"

"Does anyone even work here? Have made 4 different appointments for my fiancé and his groomsmen to get fitted for their rentals and each time it is canceled the day of staying that the staff is out. Pretty terrible customer service. Went to Stitch & Tie instead for our wedding party rentals and they were more than great!"

"This review is way past due, because I love The Black Tux. I've used them twice now -- both for my own wedding and another I was in. In both instances, it was so easy to either go to a brick and mortar location, or just enter my sizes and have them delivered. My favorite thing is the suitcase-style packaging, knowing that I can just grab the box and drive to the event and then just drop it all in the mail on the way home. It's simple and looks great. For my wedding, I had different shades of blue for my suit, the fathers involved, and the groomsmen. Some people received the wrong shade of tie initially, but customer support -- specifically Dimitri S. on July 14, 2022 -- was so helpful and had 10 correct ties shipped directly to me. It was no issue at all. The quality is also excellent. Several of my grooms team even kept either the ties or the shoes -- or both! I've never experienced or heard of issue from any of my friends and have always enjoyed the experience, especially with folks spread across the country."
