"Love this place. Been coming since I was a kid when it was an amusement park. Very well kept park. Great for walking and sight seeing. The pier is nicely built and a beautiful attraction. It could be maintained more and to no fault of the park but to the ignorance of some of the fisherman. It's a great spot to fish as I do some myself however people abuse it by leaving fish guts all over the benches which leads to an abundance of bees and flies. Also the ignorance of fisherman hogging the area . They can be very inconsiderate by placing several poles around the pier not allowing others to share the space. Not sure how to combat this. It's really how one is raised."

"Beautiful place very clean. I didn’t catch any fish but I will defiantly go again to see the sunrise or sunset. A big spot for fishing, walking around, taking pictures, flying kites, bathrooms available, big parking lot, second separate handicap parking lot."

"Quiet, mostly forgotten "older" state park with a nice walk around the sea. History snippets dotted along the forshore reminding people what a hive of activity used to provide entertainment for the people of Rhode Island. The pier is a lovely jaunt for gentle amble for anglers, couples and families alike."
