"I found a beautiful pair of lilac linen pants last summer in small shop in Hudson NY that I regretted not buying. So I searched and searched and finally found them on a site called garmentory- a place where I believe they compile the items of many small boutiques around the country. After nearly going through the whole process of purchasing - I realized that this site might be something like an Amazon, grub hub or seamless- a middle man that just takes profits from small independent shops just to take a cut for themselves. So I stopped just before entering my credit card exp date. I googled Fig-a and found they were in Hingham, Ma and that sure enough- they had my 1 beautiful pair of linen pants on their site- so I ordered direct. I received them yesterday- so fast- but the best part- besides them fitting like a glove- was the packaging (100% compostable) and the small handwritten note. It made my day. Such a wonderful and needed surprise. I hope I get to visit one day in person. I hope more people realize how much we need shops like this and to curb their reliance on places like Amazon.
