"Our kiddo started piano lessons with Loralee in January 2020. The first two months were in person and then instruction shifted to virtual lessons throughout the pandemic and our out-of-state move. Loralee is a fantastic instructor! Our kiddo participated in piano lessons from age 4 to 6 with Loralee, an age range that requires balancing patience, flexibility, structure and constant engagement, which she did beautifully using play, various activities, and technology. She also implemented a reward system for practice. Communication was great, always fielding my questions and inquiries and offering resources as requested. Loralee was flexible with scheduling, our kiddo worked their way through the Faber piano books with solid guidance. Our kiddo learned a good balance between technique and music theory. Loralee incorporated our kid’s musical interests in the pieces he was learning. Virtual recitals were wonderful as we were able to invite friends and family near and far. Loralee also offers tuning services. She tuned our piano while we were still in Newport. Loralee’s commitment to be an effective instructor is clear. She is always assessing and adjusting and exploring different and new ways to help her students develop their interest in music and strengthen their musical skills."
